Hábitat celebrates its biggest event in the last decade
The event for furniture, lighting, decoration and interior design will celebrate its largest edition since 2012, with 603 exhibiting firms and brands – 18% of them foreign from Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Turkey – and a floor space of more than 70,000 square metres, structured in the four pavilions on Level 2 of Feria Valencia, plus two pavilions on Level 3 and a third shared with the textile sector.
Hábitat returns boosted by the sector’s good momentum, which is showing a remarkable dynamism after the pandemic period. For example, the year-on-year rate of evolution of sales of Spanish furniture manufacturers grew by 5.4% during the second quarter of 2022 and is expected to grow by 1.7% in the third quarter, according to the Spanish Furniture Market Observatory of AIDIMME. In addition, exports are once again driving the sector with a growth of 12.4% and a turnover of 1,440 million euros in the first half of the year, according to official statistics from ICEX and Anieme.
The fair will also showcase the latest trends in interior design, with sustainability emerging as the great inspiration for today’s homes. Chairs and tables made from recyclable materials, acoustic ceilings made from recycled plastic bottles, organic and natural shapes, furniture made from wood from certified forests and collections that vindicate the survival of the handcrafted are some of this trends.
Textilhogar celebrates its return to Valencia with a 30% increase in the number of exhibitors.
Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar will bring together a commercial showcase of 82 exhibitors representing nearly 250 national and foreign brands and firms from Poland, Portugal and Colombia, representing an increase of 30% over the previous edition. An excellent exhibition offer to celebrate its return to Valencia after several editions in Madrid and, in addition, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the show.
More than a hundred buyers from 44 countries will visit the fair located on Level 3, Pavilion 3, as part of the campaign to invite international buyers coordinated by ATEVAL – Home Textiles from Spain, with the support of IVACE International and ICEX. Editors and manufacturers will present their latest novelties in design, trends and innovation for interior decoration for the traditional segment as well as for residential, hotel, office and catering, but above all sustainable collections.
HTP by Textilhogar will present the textile trends that will mark the next season 2023-2024 in its Home Textile Trends Monograph, prepared after an exhaustive research carried out by AITEX and predictive analysis of product trends, six key trends have been detected that will mark the textile future: Vintage narrative, Extensible Interior, Emotional Expression, Techno-Advanced, Natural Wellbeing and Supra Circular.
Kitchen sector joins the design party with more than a hundred exhibiting brands
Kitchen furniture and equipment sector is joining this design event with the celebration of the fourth edition of Espacio Cocina SICI, the most important professional show in Spain, which will be held for the first time in September together with the furniture and textile events. Espacio Cocina SICI will bring together more than a hundred European exhibiting firms and brands to show the kitchens of the future, through the latest collections and proposals in furniture, kitchenware, accessories, kitchen chairs and tables, wall and floor coverings, marble or taps.
Espacio Cocina SICI will also present an area of trends and innovation called ‘KM0’ in which the sector’s suppliers will showcase their latest advances, as well as its own programme of conferences to be held in the pavilion’s ‘Plaza Cocina’ with product presentations, marble sector conferences and even the participation of the well-known ‘youtuber’ specialising in cooking, Dani Colino. The fair will also present an innovative study on the kitchen of the future promoted by the sector association AMC.

These three events will be enhanced by an intense agenda and programme of activities that will be attended by the leading stars of international design such as Patricia Urquiola, Phillipe Starck, Juan Carlos Baumgartner, Mónica Armani, Ramón Esteve, Benedetta Tagliabue or Juli Capella, among many others, who will participate in the different activities. In addition, visitors will be able to enjoy themed exhibitions within the fair site, such as the Vicent Martínez retrospective or the younger design area Salón nude.
